Golden Eagles men's basketball team continue five game win streak

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) In Friday's game against Elite Prep, the Golden Eagles only led by five points going into the locker room at half time.

When they returned to the court for the latter half of the game they shot 51 percent from the field in the 112-90 win.

They knocked down 18 3-pointers and were led offensively by Khalid Thomas who was 7-for-10 with 32 points and four rebounds.

In day two of the ICCU Invitational the 10th nationally ranked team had another 100 plus point performance.

Trailing by 10 points, 43-33 heading into the locker room in the second half they knocked down 77 percent of their shots from the field, and rebounded, pun intended, successfully. Telly Davenport sparked the second half tun around finishing the night with 10 points, 12 rebounds and three assists. Leading the scoring category was Charles Jones Jr. with 28 points and Danya Kingsby with 27, and Jake Hendricks with 22 points.

The team will be back home for another weekend hosting the Coca-Cola Inivational Friday and Saturday before heading to Salt Lake City, Utah the following weekend.
