Gooding Volleyball comes away with hard fought win; local scores

FILER, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) We're still very early into the volleyball season and teams are barely getting into conference matchups.

We take you to Filer where the Wildcats have the Senators to deal with.

Filer was down two games before coming back and winning game three in convincing fashion.

Gooding comes away with the match, taking the final and decisive fifth set, 15-9. The Senators won the first two games by the scores of 25-12 and 25-15. The Wildcats won the third and fourth games, 25-12 and 25-23.

Filer hosts league-leading Kimberly on Thursday.

Twin Falls 3, Wood River 0: (25-13, 25-5, 25-13) Tori Edwards led the Bruins with nine kills.

Glenns Ferry 3, Wendell 2: (15-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-19, 9-15)
Lighthouse 3, Castleford 0: (25-12 25-8 25-7) Haylee Grossman had 10 kills and seven digs for the Lions. Sabrina DeJong scored 19 assists.

Murtaugh 3, Richfield 0: (25-14, 25-4, 25-12) The Red Devils combined for 28 kills.
