Local ranked football teams put the hype to the test

MAGIC VALLEY ( KMVT / KSVT ) We have some killer match-ups Friday night here in the Magic Valley where ranked teams put their undefeated records to the test.

The latest installation of the Idaho High School Football Media Poll has been released.

We don't have any teams in the 4A so let's move to the 3A ranks, we have a dandy of a game.

Reigning state champion and No.1 ranked Fruitland visits No. 2 Gooding. This should take everyone back to the 3A state semi–final last November where the Grizzlies held off the Senators, 45–33. Both teams are 2–0 on the season.

Fifth–ranked Kimberly sitting at 1–0 travels to the No.1 team in the 2A classification, Declo who's 2–0. Last year the Bulldogs narrowly defeated the Hornets, 34–26.

Raft River at 1–0, leap frogs the other teams in the Snake River Conference for No. 1 in the state. This after the shootout last Friday in Malta where the Trojans edged out Oakley, 46–42. The Trojans host Glenns Ferry.

The Hornets dropped to third this week at 1–1 and have a bye.

Tied for third is Valley who's 2–0 and travels to Shoshone.

Hagerman also at 2–0 is receiving votes has Challis at home.

Moving along to the 1A D-II, Carey is ranked third in Idaho at 2–0 and hosts Hansen.
