TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) After Saturday’s races there are only three weekends of racing left at Magic Valley Speedway.

Though the racing season may be coming to an end it isn't any less eventful. Taking this coming weekend off to enjoy the Twin Falls County Fair, when racing resumes its high speed- literally.

September 9, 2017 is the 20th anniversary of the Pro Truck Championship at the track. On Thursday-yes Thursday instead of Saturday, September 14, 2017 is the King of the Wings Sprint Cup races, which is a national event. Then to round out the season on September 23, 2017 is the Boats Race of Destruction.

"The King of the Wing Sprint Car, is a sprint car show with wings on them. And they'll be upwards of 20-25 cars for that night, and that's something we haven't had here in forever. So it's going to be really exciting it's a tour that travels around the country. So that's why it's on a Thursday night so we're going to have to pump that up, that's going to be a big deal,” said speedway General Manager, Eddy McKean.

If you've never been to the races you're missing out. The stands are packed and it's a family event as well. In between races the kids get right down on the track and compete in races of their very own.

Just a final reminder for the September 1st through 3rd weekends the track will be off.
