No. 4 Snake River pulls away from No. 5 Buhl; girls basketball scores

BUHL, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) The fifth-ranked Lady Indians of Buhl hosted the fourth-ranked Snake River Panthers.

Buhl boasted a 7-1 record, the lone loss to Snake, the Panthers have lost to Sugar-Salem twice.

Snake River strikes first with the cross court pass to Ashtyn Martin and she goes inside to Abby Morgan, the junior with the first bucket of the game.

Indians down 4-0, get on the board with this jumper by Madison Sommers, she led Buhl with six.

Morgan, a threat early on, she powers her way up for another basket and one.

Late in the first quarter, Indians down five, until Emily Gorrell drives to the hoop to make it a three point game, but no one could stop Josee Steadman, the freshman with three girls guarding her still gets a good shot off for two of her team-high 15 points.

And Snake River wins 54-34, sweeping the Indians this regular season. Kelsey Higginson also added 15 in the rout.

Caroline Vera also chipped in six points for the Lady Indians.
