No. 5 Minico gets tough win over Twin Falls; local scores

RUPERT, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Last year's state tournament teams played each other Wednesday night.

Both Minico and Twin Falls are the only squads without a conference loss. The teams are fighting to stay at the top of the Great Basin Conference.

The game got off to a sloppy start. Paige Beem's pass intended for Mumford is tipped by Maura Merrill and she gets it to go back off Beem's hands.

Shots were few and far between, but Claire Boettcher there for the rebound and she gets to go to the charity stripe for two. Boetcher tied for a team-high 11 points.

Minico pulls off the victory, 52-45. Merrill, Taycee Harper and Taylia Stimpson all score 11 as well. Baumert scored for Twin Falls.
