Oakley Girls Basketball off to best start since 2015; local scores

DECLO, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) The Hornets of Declo and Oakley battled each other Monday night.

Oakley enjoyed another hot start to the year, currently ranked second in the 1A D-I and 10-0.

Now last year Oakley started off the year the exact same way, but fell to Valley.

We head to Declo where the Hornets are looking to move to .500 on the year.

Oakley got off to a hot start, on the fast break McKinlee Cranney finds Rachael Mitton who gets the layup, she had a game-high 21 points.

The ladies in red take a 7-0 lead. Declo finally gets on the board here on the inbounds play as Amanda Bott runs in and the bank is open for her, it's now Oakley 10, Declo 2.

The home team finally making this competitive as Amanda Bott with the nice pass to Jaesa Fox.

But Oakley has too many weapons, the visitors takes this one easily, 56-36, improving to 11-0 on the year.

Mattie Ramsey scored 10 points for Declo.
