RIO DE JANEIRO (KMVT/KSVT) After placing 12th in the 10-meter air pistol Saturday, Twin Falls native Will Brown's shot at an Olympic title wasn't dead.
Brown finished 10th in his second and final Olympic event early Wednesday morning, just two spots shy of advancing to the final round.
His 555 points were just one shy of pushing him over the top and into the finals.
Brown's 10th place finish was only the third top-ten finish for an American since 1964 – and the highest American placing since 1992, according to U.S.A. Shooting.
South Korea's Jin Jong-Oh took gold in the 50-meter event.
