BOISE, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Out of 63 nominees, Boise State's Leighton Vander Esch has been named a semifinalist for the Burlsworth Trophy.
The award is given to the most outstanding FBS college football player who began his career as a walk-on.
Fans can actually vote for their favorite player starting Tuesday through November 12th at 10 pm Mountain Time.

The top three finalists will be narrowed down on November 14th.
The Riggins native ranks 16th nationally in total tackles with 9.6 per game and ninth in solo tackles at 6.2 per game.
In 2013 he earned Idaho's 1A D-II Player of the Year.
