Canyonside Christian School

Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) These are just a handful of the projects Canyonside Christian School students have put together.

Braxton Sorensen, a second grader says, "I chose this game because I like bible stories."

Braxton created his very own Noah's Ark Board Game with some glue and mom's help.

Fourth grader Grace Capps is a fan of the wind right now, unless it blows her project away.

Capps says, "one of my books is the Girls Book How to do the Best of Everything and me and my mom found how to make a kite and we followed that but we made the kite much bigger."

Today is Grandparents Day in conjunction with Invention Convention Day. Invention Convention ties the language arts with other content areas.

Josie Gott, 4th and 5th Grade Teacher says, "it's a confidence builder, but it is an opportunity for them in learning with their parents. It's wonderful to see the children come together on the project."

Aron Pittock is another fourth grader who is using the wind for his project.

Pittock adds, "it's a box kite. It's supposed to generate the wind through here and send it down."

Next week the students will see whether or not the kite will fly. But of course, that all depends on the wind.
