Twin Falls Police Department officials are investigating three recent house fires that may have been set by an arsonist.

All 3 houses were vacant at the time of the blazes. 2 of the fires happened in close proximity to each other, both on Addison Avenue East; the first on august 18th and the second one this past Saturday evening.

That same night crews also responded to a blaze at a house at 720 Park Avenue near Oregon Trail Elementary School.

The house that caught fire at 2193 Addison Avenue East over the weekend was also the scene of what is believed to have been another arson caused fire in February.

In all, TFPD officials say six fires may have been set by one or more arsonists over the past year.
