Running for office? Now's the time to file for May Primary

If you want to run for office in Twin Falls County, and be placed on the ballot for the May primary, now's the time to make your move.

Partisan and judicial candidates have to file a declaration of their candidacy, and either pay a filing fee or collect the appropriate number of verified signatures.

Independent candidates have to file the declaration and petitions.

The deadline for filing with the Twin Falls County Clerk is Friday, March 19th at 5 pm.

The offices that will appear on the May Primary ballot are the county commissioner positions now held by George Urie and Tom Mikesell, the county clerk and county treasurer positions being filled by Kristina Glascock and Debbie Kauffman, as well as the county assessor and county coroner posts held by Gerry Bowden and Dennis Chambers.
