Fill out your census form and save the gov't some cash

Think the government is spending too much, and want to help out? Here's how, take 10–minutes to fill out your census form which is being mailed to you this week and then send it back.

If you don't and the Census Bureau has to send someone to your house, it costs $57 instead of the 42 cents it costs the government, if you fill out and mail back the form in the pre–paid envelope.

Census officials say if everyone mails back their forms – it could save the government $1.5 billion.

The census should be important to you also, because it determines how much cities, communities and states get, as part of $400 billion federal funds distributed each year.
