Safety is first and foremost this week at the College Of Southern Idaho. The Safety Fest of the Great Northwest is designed for construction, transportation, and other industries.
It follows the guidelines of OSHA and MSHA, and this is the first time for the event to be held in southern Idaho.
Coordinator Cyndie Woods says, "We held this event because we needed something here in southern Idaho and what's really interesting is we have people signed up from Meridian , from Emmett from Idaho Falls, from Teton, its amazing a lot of people have come from all over the state for this."
The event is free to anyone who'd like to attend; about 30 seminars are being held. A safety trade show is also being held up to March 17th in the Taylor Building.
