Another Charge Added For Jerome Man Accused Of Shooting Officer

JEROME, ID (KMVT TV) - Another charge is being tacked on for the man accused of shooting a Jerome City Police Officer.

29–year–old Chris Taylor is now charged with aggravated assault on a police officer.

He's also charged with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, aggravated battery on a police officer, grand theft by possession of stolen property and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police said Taylor led three police officers and a deputy on a high–speed five–mile chase earlier this month.

The pursuit ended in multiple shooting, including shooting Officer Clark.

Taylor's preliminary hearing was continued Tuesday morning until March 1st at 9 am.

His bond is set at $1 million.
