Bennett Deer Herd Get Mild WinterGlenns Ferry
Glenns Ferry, Idaho (KMVT) Idaho Fish and Game says the light winter helped deer survive in the Bennett Hills. Last year a fire ripped through the area just north of Glenns Ferry burning prime winter food for deer. Fish and Game officials say they worried many would not make it through the winter. However, thanks to the light winter the outlook is much better. Still officials say it will be years before the habitat recovers.
