Local Dairy wins national cheese award
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT) - A local dairy took home high honors at a recent cheese festival.
The Ballard Family Dairy and Cheese Company of Gooding won the 2010 Blue Ribbon for its Ritrovo selections truffle and salt cheddar at the American Cheese Society's Annual Cheese Festival in Seattle.
The creamery, officials say is a Ritrovo Italian regional foods partner, which is a Seattle– based developer and champion of Italian products.
Officials say the award–winning cheese was created by combining the Ballard Family's naturally aged Idaho cheddar with Ritrovo selections truffle and salt.
