Strawberry Farm Needs Picked
In the fall you can pick pumpkins for your self in the Magic Valley.
So in the summer what can you pick yourself straight out of the field?
Well, one thing is strawberries. There is a strawberry farm just South East of Jerome that needs picked. The farmer says this year they've gotten a good crop.
If it doesn't get picked, then a lot will rot.
Strawberry farmer, Arlen Raugust says "I have too many berries, not enough people this year...they just get over ripe and as we go, the season progresses, there’s more and more garbage to pick through but still gonna be berries here for a couple more weeks, but now is the peak."
The Raugust strawberry farms have been in business for more than 40 years.
Strawberries are sold by the gallon, but you can get half off if you pick them yourself.
And it will then only cost you four bucks.
The Raugust Strawberry farm is located South East of Jerome on 259 E and 300 W in Jerome County. You can call 324-2036 for more information.
