Summer Jobs Available Now In Twin Falls
TWIN FALLS, ID (KMVT-TV) - If you're interested in finding a summer job, it's time to get started on your job search.
But, there is some good news.
According to a survey from snagajob.com, 55 percent of hiring managers say they'll hire temporary staff this summer, the highest percentage in the past four years.
A majority of them expect to complete their summer seasonal hiring by April.
Despite a chilly day, players play a round of golf at the Canyon Springs Golf Course. The course is already busy.
"It's recreational. Idaho is a lot of that. We do about 30,000 to 32,000 round a year. Most in the summer,” said Brandon Otte, Canyon Springs Golf Course.
And that means they need employees specifically for the summer time.
"We've had a bunch. More numbers than in the past,” said Otte.
And if you're looking for an inside job, why not check out the Twin Cinema 12 where they're offering 5 jobs just for the summer.
"During the summer, we're open for matinees so we have more positions available and we need kids to help us out. It's a good place for your first job. Matinees. Matinee popcorn. It's a cheap, fun thing for the family,” said Ashley Aston, Twin Cinema 12.
The YMCA City Pool is open year–round, but in the summer, they hire on 30 to 35 jobs in the aquatics department.
"Summer jobs are extremely important. It makes up 50 percent of our staff. Summer day camp. We don't have it in the winter so that's a whole new department,” said John Pauley, YMCA City Pool.
So whether you're looking to help others tee off, jump in or catch a flick, many local businesses are hiring for the summer.
