Wendell Gets a Look at Proposed Jail

Wendell (KMVT)-Citizens of Wendell got a look at the proposed Gooding County Jail. The sheriff, county commissioners along wiht representatives of Rocky Mountain Corrections showed off the design. The jail would sit just south of the Hub city along Interstate 84.
The estimated cost to build would be $7 to $8 million dollars. However, officials point out it would not use tax payer money to build. The facility would be built with private funding from investors. The county would then lease the jail and run it.
