Wiener Mobile comes to Twin FallsTwin Falls
(TWIN FALLS, IDAHO) -- KMVT
You could call it “the meeting of the Meyers” – Fred Meyer meets Oscar Mayer. The world famous Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile pulled into the Fred Meyer parking lot in Twin Falls for a brief visit this afternoon. Hotdogger Joey Besl says, “The best part of being a hotdogger is that you get to go so many different places. We've been to almost 20 different states this year, and getting to meet people in their hometowns. And everywhere we go people are honking and waving it's like being in your own parade all the time.” Only 12 people out of roughly 1200 applicants every year get to drive the famous vehicle for a year beginning June first. There are six of them on the road. But if you were hoping to just jump behind the wheel – it's only open to graduating college seniors. The sound system plays the hot dog jingle in 21 different kinds of music. Wiener Mobile fan Earl Casper says, “I've seen it in magazines, I've seen it on TV. And it brings back a lot of memories, / I always though it'd be nice to see it for real.” Singing: “Oh, I wish I was an Oscar Mayer wiener... / That is what I'd truly like to be / 'Cause if I was an Oscar Mayer wiener, everyone would be in love with me.” Besl says every day is a new adventure while driving this awesome company car. But for those of us who see it, the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile brings back some very good feelings that help us get back in touch with our childhood memories. Comments ( |
