Possible Shooting

By Jay Michaels

Just after eight p-m last night - the Jerome City Police responding to what was initially thought to be just a complaint about reckless driving at the corner of East Avenue I and South Davis Street in Jerome.
At first witnesses thought that somebody was throwing fire crackers.
A police spokesman says a blue pickup was chasing a tan or white small car.
He says the chase apparently began in a trailer court on West Avenue I- and continued east to this intersection.
Police found shell casings - and determined that the driver of the pickup fired eight nine millimeter rounds.
However, the police couldn't locate slugs in any of the houses or anywhere in the surrounding area.
Witnesses believe the people involved were Hispanic males.
