Lincoln County Deputy Killed in Roll Over
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department lost one of their own this evening.
35-year old lincoln county chief deputy Joshua Eggelston was driving on State Highway 24 East of Shoshone when the left rear tire went flat as he approached a curve. Idaho state police say that Eggelston who is from Dietrich lost control of his patrol car. He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected when the vehicle rolled off the highway.
Idaho State Police is investigating the crash.
Also in another accident in Twin Falls County A Twin Falls man is dead and a woman was transported to the hospital after being involved in a rollover accident early this morning. Twin Falls County Sheriff's Department say that about two-thirty this morning at 3000 East and 2650 North there was a one-vehicle rollover involving two people. Timothy Vebarth was pronounced dead at the scene and Megan Schutte was air lifted to Saint Alphonsus in Boise.
Officials say it might be driver error as it was a narrow curve.
Schutte was in critical condition. Twin Falls County says they are waiting for toxicology results and the incident is still under investigation.
