Video Store Closeout

Twin Falls

By J. Michaels

A local retailer has fallen victim to the economy and corporate downsizing.
The Blockbuster video rental store on Blue Lakes in Twin Falls has officially closed.
The inventory of videos and games will be sold for five dollars a piece from 12 noon through 7pm Wednesday and Thursday.
The store closer says that Blockbuster will be completely out of the building by Saturday.
Corporate officials with Blockbuster announced four months ago that they would be closing up to 960 stores nationwide through the end of this year.
Blockbuster still has 4300 stores in the US after closing an additional 500 locations in 2007 and 2008.
