Congress Could cut Saturday Mail Service

Rain, sleet, snow or shine, the post office delivers your mail.
But they may not be able to battle an ever–increasing deficit.
With the approval of congress, the U.S. postal service could stop delivery on Saturdays.
The postal service is facing up to a seven–billion dollar loss this year, and a 238 billion dollar loss over the next decade.
Stopping delivery isn’t the only plan the post office has to save money.
Bill Reese, postmaster says "They're looking to find more access for the customers to go, not just post offices, but retail stores, things of that nature. Trying to consolidate some of the offices and eliminating some of the offices, things of that nature."
Officials say the decline of people using mail could be linked to the number of people turning to electronic communications.
