Dunk a Cop

Magic Valley residents could get a little legal 'revenge' on some Twin Falls police officers today in the Twin Falls City Park all for a good cause.
A few brave officers with the fraternal order of police volunteered to be dunked in a fundraiser.
Officers do several of these fundraisers a year to raise money for different programs, including cops and kids during Christmas where kids in need get to go shopping with officers to pick out gifts.
Police say it wasn't too hard to come up with idea of using a dunk tank.
Twin Falls police officer Steven Gassert says "We were kind of just bouncing around ideas, and I've used the dunk tank for fundraisers in the past, and I thought – what a better idea than to let people come out and dunk a cop for a few dollars!"
"It's something you don't see very often, so, you know, anytime people can come out and have fun with the cops, and show, we're people too, we like to have a good time and raise money for kids in the community."

It cost one dollar for one ball, and two dollars for three.
The water was cold – about 45 degrees!
