Building Facelift 5 Points
Developer Mountain West Real Estate has owned the now former Rite Aid building for several years now. Plans are to transform it from a basic block into this.
Kevin Mortensen, the developer says "the location is what's perfect, 5 points, everything it's the middle of town."
There’s a whole lot of open space in it right now, but eventually it'll be sectioned off into around 8 separate shops.
It’s caught the attention of long time business owner Don Chandler, owner of Tuxedos Now who just moved in a temporary shop as the first lease.
They needed to expand his shop, going from an 1100 square feet to 4–thousand square feet, along with greater visibility.
Chandler says "the curb side accessibility is very attractive to people and it's appealing because they could just pull up, the parking close by."
Mortensen says "you drive up Shoshone form down town that's all you look at is that building it's a bill board in and of itself."
The developer expects to have the new fronts of the building built during the winter and already has another hair salon leasing space. Shoppers may be able to get tasty treats there too.
