JEROME, ID - (KMVT-TV) - Things are slowly 'moving along' for those with the Jerome Historical Society.

They've been busy for the past month moving antique artifacts from their old location into the former Senior Center in Jerome.

They say it has been a long process, with a lot of planning that went on, even before the move. They say, something that's taken them the longest - is cataloging all those items.

"When you accept items into the museum, you access them. And then when you move and you pick those items up to move them, you go through them piece by piece and de-access. And we have a notebook that's all kept in - and that's a long process,” said Lulu Mae Coates, with the Historical Society.

Those with the Historical Society say - they often times find that people just drop off old belongings at the door, and just leave them.
Officials are asking that you please do no* do this - as it makes those items very hard to catalog.

If you have items you would like to drop off, drop them off when someone is present, or call ahead to schedule a time.
