Magic Valley Rose Society offering commemorative stones, replacing worn plaques

TWIN FALLS, ID (KMVT-TV) If you walk near the Twin Falls judicial building, you'll notice a rose garden, and stone pathway.

Beside each rose, is a plaque honoring a special occasion, a birth, a death, or those who have served our country.

Those with the Magic Valley Rose Society say, all the roses are now taken.

The society now has commemorative stones you can put a name on. The stones are 11 x 11, and cost $100.00

As they get new stones, the society is also in the process of replacing the plaques next to the roses. The calcium in the rain has worn away the names.

“As things are broken or damages, we're replacing them with marine plastic, which is a heavy duty clear plastic, and they are engraved from behind, so the calcium doesn't adhere to it like it does these old signs,” said Magic Valley Rose Society President Sheri Hutton.

If you would be interested in purchasing a commemorative stone, call Sheri Hutton at (208) 404-4550, or send her an e-mail at: momofz@hotmail.com .
