Afghan militants say they'll release a captured soldier from Hailey if the United States releases a Pakistani woman.

According to the Idaho Statesman, militants are proposing a prisoner exchange for soldier Bowe Bergdahl. They want the United States to release Aafia Siddiqui, convicted this week by a New York federal jury of two counts of attempted murder against U.S soldiers in Afghanistan.

Militants say they if the prisoner exchange doesn't take place, they will execute Bergdahl.

The 23-year-old has been missing since July 30th.
