Final preparations underway for fireworks display

Twin Falls, Idaho - Final preparations are underway for the Magic Valley Citizen's Fireworks Show at the College Of Southern Idaho; officials will begin setting up the firework's display at CSI Friday.

If you'd like to start your 4th of July celebration early on the holiday, you're invited to come on down to the Twin Falls City Park for a breakfast.

Organizer Ruth Pierce said, "We have most of the food put together, volunteers, so it starts at 7:00am in the city park and goes till 10:00am. Bring your family! It's a five-dollar donation for the meal, so we'd love to have everybody."

The fireworks are set to begin lighting up the sky at 10:00; the show is expected to last exactly 23 minutes.

Twin Falls City Police are also ready for the 10pm fireworks display; they ask drivers to follow directions, as there will be some road closures and delays.

Traffic will not be allowed to go west towards Washington Street and the construction area.

North College will also be directed in the same way towards Blue Lakes; before the show – North College will be closed at 7pm for fire work preparations.

Falls Avenue and Washington Street near the college will be closed at 9pm for people waking to the campus.

Also the west campus exit onto Washington will be closed the entire time; people need to be patient because it will take some time to get out.
