Guest Speaker Arthur Hart talks history of trains to Shoshone
SHOSHONE, ID (KMVT-TV) Saturday afternoon, the Lincoln County Historical Society had a special guest speaker come and give a presentation.
Arthur Hart is the Director Emeritus of the Idaho State Historical Society, and is the author of many articles and books on Western history, and is a favorite speaker throughout Idaho.
Hart was in Shoshone speaking about how the trains that criss-cross our county shaped the state we live in, and how Shoshone played a vital part in forming the state of Idaho.
“I was asked to come down and talk about the history of Idaho rail-roading. Well, we talked about the history of the different railroads that have crossed Idaho,” he said.
There were small displays set up with items and information that will soon be set up in the Lincoln County Historical Museum that will open to the public later in July.
