Post Conviction Hearing Finally Set For Sarah Johnson
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT) - Convicted murder Sarah Johnson's post conviction relief hearing has finally been set; Johnson is serving two life sentences for the 2003 killings of her parents in Bellevue, she was 16 at the time.
Back in 2009 she filed for post conviction relief, the appeal hinges on a number of issues, including an unidentified fingerprint found on the murder weapon.
Johnson’s attorneys have also suggested that Blaine County officials may have tampered with evidence.
Now, nearly 4 and a half years after the relief case was filed, and after dozens of hearings, Judge Richard Bevan will hear legal arguments, from both sides, on November 11th.
That date could still be changed based on a pre trial conference on November 8th.
