Southern Idaho Bros host 15th annual Teddy Bear Run

BURLEY, ID (KMVT-TV) One group in the Mini-Cassia area is taking caring for others to whole other level.

Sunday afternoon in Burley, the Southern Idaho Bros sponsored their 15th annual Teddy Bear Run.

The group supplies teddy bears to the police, fire, and rescue departments out of the Burley - Minico area, so that they can be given to children who are, at the time, in a crisis.

"We collect teddy bears for the emergency services around here... the fire department, the police department, ambulance services... and we split them up. The reason we collect teddy bears is if there is an accident its something they can give to the child or the grown-up to sooth them,” said Southern Idaho Bros President James “Red” Croslend.

Every year almost 500 to 600 teddy bears are distributed between multiple departments.

If you would like to help with their cause and you have some old teddy bears lying around, log on to Facebook, and look under the name Southern Idaho Bros, or stop in to Red Sports Shop in Paul where a drop box is located.
