Ketchum, Idaho (KMVT) - Saturday, Highway 75 will transform into a "no speed limit" zone; for a few glorious hours, every commuters dream will come true.

The Sun Valley Road Rally will take place from 11am to 3:00pm, between the SNRA and the Baker Creek parking lot north of Ketchum.

Drivers have a two mile straightaway to hit their top speed, and another mile to cool down.

The event raises money for the Blaine County Drug Coalition which funds programs that improve the health and safety of Blaine County by decreasing alcohol and other drug use among youth.

In 2009 the cars participating included, among others, Ferraris, Bentleys, Ford GT’s, Porsches, all reaching speed of 180 plus.

Spectator tickets are available for a suggested tax–deductible donation of $20, $50 for families, to the Blaine County Drug Coalition.

For information on participating as a driver, or a spectator, hop online and go to or call (208)726–2777.
