Sunday wraps up three-day Rock Chuck Derby/Fundraiser event in Bliss
BLISS, ID (KMVT-TV) Sunday was the third and last day of the Hannah Bates Memorial Rock Chuck Derby held in Bliss.
And starting on Friday people have been flocking to this small town to raise money for this very special charity.
Hannah Bates passed away from cancer in 2008.
But before she passed, Hannah donated her life savings to buy new uniforms for her Hagerman volleyball team she was coaching.
In memory of Hannah and all she stood for, her friend, Frank Adam, owner of the Outlaws and Angels Saloon in Bliss, decided to donate all the proceed from the Rock Chuck Derby to help Hannah’s cause.
In the past three years the derby has raised over $100,000 for schools and needy families all over the valley.
