Twin Falls

Rescue crews were called out to Snake River Canyon at around 7:30 this evening, for reports of an injured base jumper.

Unconfirmed reports say the base jumper landed on the north side of the river on the Jerome county side. A helicopter responded to the scene just east of the Perrine bridge.

It appeared to be able to locate someone in the canyon who was flashing a light from the ground. The helicopter later landed south of the river. Some time after a boat came on scene, where rescue crews were able to get to shore and assist the jumper. No word yet on the condition of the jumper. Both Jerome and Twin Falls county were on scene.
