Jerome

KMVT has received a number of calls from curious viewers about a couple camping alongside Highway 93 across from the Flying-J in Jerome County.

A woman declined to be on camera, but says they are traveling across the county promoting several messages. They are not homeless.
They have pushed their cart from Florida to Arizona and are trying to get to Seattle.

People have helped them out by driving them to several places. They claim the cart weighed 15-hundred pounds at one time. They've already trekked across parts of Canada.

They rely on help from people and stay warm by bundling up and the small shelter they have. The couple have done part of the trip on their own money, but they are looking for employment.

We spoke to Idaho State Police, and they say they've asked the couple to move. They are camping on state property.

They had been camping in that area for the past three weeks.
