Joined Marines out of high school from Lubbock, Texas. Awarded purple heart, bronze star, sliver star, 6 good conduct medals, vietnam service medal with 'v' status. Also awarded 9 rifle marksmanship medals. Was at the American Embassy in Beruit when it was bombed. Served for 23 years before retiring in the Magic Valley. Started the Valley View Lavender Farm with wife Peggy. Recently passed away due to brain cancer. A HERO in every sense of the word. Thank you for your service, Al.
