Jerome is seeing more people move in.
Officials say they expect the trend to continue.
State Representative Maxine Bell, a Republican from Jerome, says she always dreamed the town would become a bedroom community for nearby twin falls.
Even though some residents don't like the growth, Bell says people have the right to move to the area.
The city is revising its two-year-old comprehensive plan with the goal of expanding the city.
Much of that growth is being made possible with a giant sewer line.
