TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - Twin Falls city officials are still trying to determine the cause of Friday's water line break.

The line broke around 4:30 p.m. on Washington Street South, near the Glanbia Cheese Factory.

City officials say more than 500,000 gallons of water spilled out when the pipe burst. The 30-inch pipe is part of the city's arsenic project.

The water line, which sits 12 feet below the road's surface, caused substantial damage to Washington Street South.

The flooding, combined with freezing temperatures, caused icy road conditions for drivers. No word on city officials on how long it will take crews to repair the roadway.
