Idaho Projects Future Population Growth
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV/KTWT-TV) Idaho's population is growing by the numbers each year.
Data released by the census bureau reports Idaho gained more than 12-thousand people just last year.

You may be seeing some new neighbors in town.
Within the last ten years nearly two-hundred thousand people have moved to the state and more are expected to call Idaho home.
"I believe we'll see a greater increase than what was reported within the last year. We have growth projects within the next 20-years. Maybe a population of 67-thousand in about 18-years” said Mitch Humble Community Development Director, City of Twin Falls.
The population in Twin Falls County is just over 78-thousand people.
Jackie Frey Twin Falls County coordinator for emergency services believes a future increase of people... means counties need to be prepared.
"As population count goes up resources need to be increased and need to be coordinated for those areas” said Jackie Frey Coordinator, Twin Falls County Emergency Services.
The Gem State is ranked 24th as one of the fastest growing states in the U.S.
A place that could be busier in 2020.
The census reports the top three fastest growing states are North Dakota, Washington D.C., and Texas.
