Man gets 15 years for killing his girlfriend
TWIN FALLS, IDAHO (KMVT-TV) A man accused of murder pleaded guilty to the crime in aTwin Falls courtroom today.
Thomas Trevino Jr.was facing a first degree murder charge for the 2010 shooting death of his girlfriend. This morning, he pleaded guilty to an lesser charge of second degree murder with a weapons enhancement. Following the plea, the judge also dismissed a second aggravated battery charge. Prosecutors say Trevino will serve a fixed term of fifteen years in prison. He will be formally sentenced Thursday afternoon following a victim impact statement. Comments ( |
