New Flagpole at South Central Community Action Partnership

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Just in time for Memorial Day, a new flagpole went up at South Central Community Action Partnership on Saturday.

Local Troop 42 Scout Rylee Olson designed and built the flagpole for his Eagle Scout project. The Boy Scouts and Post 2136 Veterans of Foreign Wars joined for the special presentation.

As Olson explains, the flag raised has a bit of history behind it, "When South Central first opened up, Senator Mike Simpson awarded them with a flag that had been flown over the US Capitol in Washington, D.C., but they didn't have a flag pole to put it up. Needing my Eagle Scout project, I noticed that, and I chose them."
The event also honored all of those who have served and are serving our country for our freedom.
