Santa Visits West End Fire and Rescue Center
PAUL, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - Families in Paul spotted Santa on Saturday.
He made a stop at the West End Fire and Rescue Center around noon. The Jolly Old Elf and area firefighers earned their spot on Santa's 'nice' list by helping him pass out candy to children. Every year, the guys from West End load up onto a fire truck and go street to street throwing bags of candy to the kids. Fire Chief Randy Sutton says Santa's annual appearance is a highly anticipated event. Chief Sutton says, "We cover almost every street in Paul. We go to almost every street in town and we go as far out as the Paul housing district and the baseline road distributing between 12 and 15 hundred pounds of candy." The annual event has been bringing the big guy in red to the city of Paul since the late 1950's. Chief Sutton says the event gets bigger each year. Comments ( |
