Trevino to spend 15 years in jail for 2nd degree murder
TWIN FALLS, ID (KMVT) A man who pled guilty to murder earlier this week was sentenced in Twin Falls.
Police say that 31 year old Thomas Trevino Junior shot and killed his girlfriend in a Twin Falls hotel room a year ago in July. He fled the area and was arrested in Mesa County, Colorado. Trevino was initially charged with first degree murder and aggravated battery. As part of a plea bargain this week, Trevino pled guilty to second degree murder with a weapons enhancement. This afternoon in a Twin Falls courtroom, Fifth District Judge Randy Stoker sentenced Trevino to serve 15 years in the Idaho State Penitentiary. Sept. 29, 2011. Comments ( |
