Twin Falls County Fair Celebrates 100th Birthday Of 4-H

By Andrew Reed

Filer, Idaho (KMVT-TV) It was a big day for 4-H students at the fair.

4-H members celebrated the 100-th anniversary of the youth development program that originally begun about farming.

The four H's still stand for head, heart, hands, and health.

But the organization is about much more than crops and livestock.

"It's a good opportunity for the kids to have a better self-esteem learn about citizenship and government. It's not about animals we are getting more into the science and electronic and technology” said Teresa Tverdy, 4-H Coordinator.
