Twin Falls Hosts First Annual Women In Ag Conference

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Women from across the state attended the first Idaho women in Ag conference Saturday. The event was held at the CSI Taylor building. The conference focused on bringing women in agriculture together.

Discussion topics included the changing roles of women in Ag. Presenters also spoke on how to build tools with marketing, social media and networking.

"We wanted to bring women together, you know that working in agriculture whether they are producing on the farm or helping, from the university perspective or agency perspective and make that connection that we are all in agriculture and talk about some of the issues that are important for us," said Cinda Williams, a conference facilitator.

Governor otter, Senator Risch and state representative Maxine Bell all spoke to the group. Conference organizers are hoping the conference will become a yearly event.
