Body Found In Crawl Space Of Burley Motel Identified

Burley, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The investigation into the death of a man found in the crawl space of a Burley Motel Friday is continuing and now police say it has turned into a murder case. According to the Cassia County Sheriff’s office, the suspicious incident at the Alpine Garden Motel has now become a Homicide Investigation.
A body of an adult male was located in the crawl space under the office of the Alpine Motel on May 18th 2012. Police say they have positively identified victim as Russ Taft. According to a news release issued by the sheriff’s office, it was determined during the autopsy conducted on Monday May 21, Mr. Taft died from blunt force trauma to the head and a stab wound to the heart.
The Cassia County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for James Duane Ambrose for questioning concerning the death of Mr. Taft. Ambrose was last seen in Las Vegas, Nevada around May 7th 2012. Ambrose has a current Cassia County warrant for his arrest for Grand Theft. Ambrose has multiple warrants for his arrest in Las Vegas Nevada for Kidnapping, Robbery, Burglary, Battery, and Grand Larceny. Sheriff Randy Kidd said that he expects additional warrants to be issued out of Cassia County in the near future.
