Kaysville Utah Resident Dies Following Accident Near Burley

Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - A one vehicle rollover has claimed the life of a Utah resident. The Idaho State Police say the accident in the eastbound lane of I-84 happened near exit 201 at about 8:30 this morning. Britney Byrd, 28 of Kaysville, Utah was driving a 2007 Toyota Matrix. Byrd’s vehicle went off the right side of the road where it struck the exit sign for the Kasota Road exit. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on the embankment south of the exit. Byrd’s front passenger, Timothy Byrd, 31 of Kaysville, Utah, was ejected from the vehicle and was transported by Air Ambulance to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. While at the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Britney Byrd and 3 children, ages 4, 2 and 7 months, were transported by ground ambulance to St Luke’s Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls.
